I am sitting in Killworth Chapel on a mist-rainy Tacoma afternoon singing with old friends, some new, all drawn back to this beautiful place by that wonderful bond of music. So many memories flowing.
Walked around the UPS campus today. I had to laugh when I saw a gardener raking up a pile of 5 leaves--everything is just so for Family/Alumni weekend. After rehearsal, a couple of friends and I discovered that we all lived in the same dorm our respective freshman years and, collectively, we got up the courage to get a peek inside. It was a fun thing to do, even though we got some strange looks from the current students living there. It's hard to believe that my first experiences on that campus were half of my life ago. It was neat to say hello to Dr Schultz and his wife--fun that he remembered that I was JB, the "Latter-day Saint from Salt Lake City, Utah."
Caught up on the last 10-ish years over dinner with Jennifer, Jamie and Becky. From silly sorority sagas to parenthood and grown-up responsibility. But still plenty to laugh about.
