Spring as we knew it

Technically, we're not quite to summer, so I'm going to squeeze in some spring details and not feel too lame about it.

Around here, spring meant a lot of soccer and t-ball games...those that weren't cancelled due to crazy spring storms.

SCC had her first experience on a team of any sort; she turned out to be quite a star on her team (Go Purple Grapes!)

TLC had fun with his t-ball team, the Killer Bees.  TEC had the chance to step in with some coaching, as well.  There wasn't a lot of action to capture during his games, but we did pull most of the team together for a group picture.

RVC continued with her soccer team from the fall--Sharks.  What a fun group of girls.  They made a great team.  And I learned that one of my favorite things to see is my daughter's blotchy face from playing so hard.

RVC also kept busy getting ready for a few piano recitals this spring.  Her teacher encouraged her to put together a solo recital once she had completed her first set of books.  I think that was such a great idea--RVC selected some of her favorite pieces from the past year, wrote up a program and invitations for family and friends, and we hosted the recital in our home.  She even made some table decorations for our refreshments table.

The "Piano Animal" recital was also fun.  All the kids selected pieces about different animals.  Rachel's pieces were "Louvenia Ladybuy" and "Felonia Flea".
