After the fieldtrip, the ladies treated me and the kids to lunch--a bit of a farewell party-- and the kids played around a while longer. Now, back at home, it's back to packing for me.

Engine House No. 10
MOMs Club took a fieldtrip to the fire station today. We had a great time touring the station and giving the fire fighters cards and goodies. One of the firefighters showed the kids how they dress when they are called out to a fire. I hadn't thought about how intimidating firefighters look when they are covered with all their gear, scary mask and all. I can see how, as they pointed out, a lot of kids hide from firefighters. TLC was a little afraid--inching towards me a bit. But after a few minutes he was reassuring me, "he's not really scary."

Very fun trip to the fire house! I hope that the packing is going well. We are excited to see you at the end of the month :)
