Summer Holidays

We celebrated July holidays mostly with our little family.

Grandma and Grandpa did meet us on the morning of the Fourth of July to help us shuttle up and down the Jordan River with our canoe.  Grandma took the only picture from the adventure.

In the evening, we took advantage of our easy access and walked to a brushy field by the freeway entrance that overlooks the Salt Lake Country Club and it's firework show.  We had a pretty good view of Sugarhouse fireworks as well.

We then celebrated back home, sparkler style.

On Pioneer Day, TLC and I ran in the Deseret News Classic 10K and 5K races.  It was a hot, windy morning, but he did great.  Those summer track workouts paid off.

Then, of course we had birthdays.

SCC reached that magical age of ear-piercing accountability.

Of course, a very special part of turning 8 was being baptized.  She had that opportunity a week later, right before another special birthday.
 Sweet CAC turned SIX.

And that wrapped up our year of family birthdays for the kids.  It's nice (for Mom) to do things low-key for a while.  We'll be gearing up for friend parties next year.
