School Days

School is fully upon us, but it was only a couple of months ago when we were snapping these pictures.

RVC is our big 6th grader.  She's in Mrs. Emery's class and is staying busy with homework, piano, babysitting, and Activity Days.  She also sings in the school chorus and volunteers on the Safety Patrol.

Not far behind, in 4th grade, is TLC.  He's in Mrs. Brown's class.  Besides working hard in class and plowing through every book series his teacher hands him, he continues to make us laugh with his dry sense humor.  He continues to play the piano, practicing several times a day in 2-3 minutes sessions, beginning and ending each session with a speedy run through of Harry Potter.  He also remains attached to his soccer ball at most recesses.  He even experienced a minor concussion a few weeks ago that forced him to take it easy for a while.

SCC started 3rd grade this year, but at a new school.  She tested into a gifted magnet program that is offered at Morningside Elementary.

She still misses a lot of things about Rosecrest, but has a great teacher (Mrs. Myers) and is doing well in the program.  She's making a few new friends, but was glad to see a few of her Rosecrest friends each week at soccer practice.  She's also working hard at the piano and doing great.

CAC attends all day this year as a first grader in Ms. Robinson's class.  She's becoming a great reader and stays on top of her homework and spelling practice.
