I'm sure I'm going to be caught in a panic when the snow comes and we realize everyone has outgrown their winter boots and snow pants, but for now, we're enjoying the crisp mornings and comfortable afternoons.
Fall soccer has already come and gone. The kids had a great season with only one rainy game to soldier through. Soccer games and Utah Football ruled our Saturdays for most of September and October. TLC was a lucky winner of a drawing that made him the Carl's Jr. Super Fan of the Fresno State game. He received four tickets to the game, with a VIP lunch beforehand, a chance to meet swoop and have some film time up on the big screen. His other responsibility was to run onto the field to retrieve the tee after the kickoff.
TEC's birthday fell over Fall Break/UEA weekend. We spent a few days up at the cabin. I forget how relaxing it is to be up there, especially when we have the cabin to ourselves. It makes me realize how distracted I get at home when I'm surrounded by unfinished projects, paper piles, and endless chores. It really makes me want to simplify things around our home, get to the point where everything has a place and we have a workable system of everything... where we have more time in the day for moments like these...
