THREE on three

Happy birthday to this silly monkey.

CAC turned THREE on August 3 this year.  It was a fun day.  She was the first kid up and remembered right away what day it was: "It's my BIRTHDAY, Dad!"  All day long as people wished her a happy birthday, she'd beam and say, "Happy Birthday!" right back.

What a sweet girl.  She is at an age where she is so full of life, swinging from happy to sad and everything in between as she tries to figure out the world around her.  Every emotion is true and BIG.

She's tough.  She's learned early on to hold her own.  Often, when I need to "step in" with my kids, it's to rescue one of the older kids from little sister CAC.

She's smart.  She likes to figure things out on her own, do things without any help.  "Big girls don't tell their mom when they need to go potty," she told me at one point on Wednesday amidst the birthday activities.  I have to admit that it's nice to have four of my kids able to dress themselves each day, even if some of them go through several outfits (I counted 3 that day for CAC) and if one includes church shoes with Lightning McQueen socks.

Hope you enjoy 3, CAC.  We love you!
