It's been a while since I've taken the time to write down funny things my kids say. Tonight on our drive down Millcreek Canyon, we listened to some Disney music. The song "A Pirate's Life for Me" (best known around here for the chorus: Yo Ho!) was playing as we pulled into the driveway and unloaded the car. It was time to hurry into the house and get jammies on for a bedtime that had already passed.
As some of the kids continued to sing the song, CAC seemed a bit uneasy. She asked me to hurry and lock the door. "The Yo Hos are coming!" she said. I told her that the Yo Hos weren't coming...that they can't come inside. She managed to laugh about it a bit, and added that Daddy would "block the Yo Hos." She continued to talk all about them as we got ready for bed. Here's hoping that those Yo Hos stay out of little CAC's dreams tonight.
