4 months

Friday marked 4 months of life for little MEC.  I missed my photo opportunity, so some from today will have to do (playing with cousin AO).

And here are a few from the past month:
up at the cabin for Memorial Day...some of us were pretty tired:)

He's getting big and he is at such a fun age--one of my favorites for babies--where he smiles and babbles and plays and laughs but for the most part isn't mobile yet.  He did roll over for the first time sometime this past week (back to tummy), though, so it won't be long before we'll be chasing him around.

They say that babies must know when they are number 3, 4, 5, etc.  There is certainly enough love to go around for all my kids, but sometimes there just aren't enough hands.  How lucky I am to have such a happy, easy-going baby (knocking on wood).  My kids are all pretty good, actually.

Today in church as I quietly sighed relief from having readied us all to be on time, I had to smile at the opening hymn: "Count Your Many Blessings."  I sat trying to feed MEC on one end of the bench while attempting to reverently encourage two of my kids on the other end of the bench to sit down and keep their hands to themselves.  A line from the hymn stood out to me: "Are you ever burdened with a load of care?"  On a different day those words might have brought me to tears; thankfully, things weren't to that point today, but just as I was starting to acknowledge that, yes, I was feeling burdened, I looked over to see one of my friends sitting down next to us and pulling little CAC up onto her lap.  Such a simple thing, but as we continued to sing, "Do not be discouraged; God is over all.  Count your many blessings; angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey's end" I was given a sweet reminder that my Heavenly Father notices me and my efforts and he does send help and comfort when I need it.

Thanks for sharing that. I needed to hear it today. And yay for good friends to help us in times of need.
