The result:
Once there was a pumpkin in a pumpkin patch that didn't look like all the others. He had a smiling face and a nose and two shining eyes. A witch came and saw the pumpkin and took it to her secret lab. The owner came and threw a pumpkin at her because she stole it. Then the witch got stuck inside the pumpkin. The owner put her inside the oven and cooked her up for Halloween dinner. THE END.

Steve and I were laughing out loud when we read this! We could just imagine him telling this story. We loved to hear about your kids' school adventures!
