Puzzleman

This is TLC these days.

Actually, he's spent the last week or so focusing on everything Spiderman--pouring over his many coloring/activity books and staring at his posters. He'll even "read" a particular Spiderman book from memory (always very proud of himself when he reaches the end: "...now that Spiderman has captured the evil Doctor, the city is safe once again!").

But if there is one thing that will capture TLC's complete attention for any extended period of time, it's a puzzle. We had a couple of easy ones that I picked up from Target in the dollar section. TLC would do them over and over again. About a month ago, he chose to spend his birthday money on a new puzzle--a 100-piece Iron Man puzzle. I snuck another one in the cart to give him for Valentines Day--easily the best money we've spent on the boy as far as entertainment goes. Both puzzles are pretty easy for him now, he's done them so many times.

I love the way he dumps out the pieces, then crouches down (never sits--he likes to move around while he works) and works out the easy parts first, like the logos and borders. I've sat down a few times to do them with him and it's fun to hear him think out loud. He's one smart little guy.
(not sure why this photo keeps flipping this way...)
