SCC is a loving girl.
She screams, throws fits, refuses to wear certain items of clothing, wants the pink cup or it's all over, cries like she's lost a leg when her sock is twisted, does not tolerate well being teased by her brother, did I mention she screams?
But catch her at a good moment, and she'll throw her arms around your legs and tell you how much she loves you, how the meal you are making is her FAVORITE, how you're "the BEST!"
The thing that pleases her more than anything is the concept of being "together." She recognizes that, unfortunately, more often than not, this is not the case. When TEC leaves for work, or goes out of town, she laments, "Mommy, we are not together. We are apart." Then, upon his return, she is full of smiles and hugs for the happy reunion. I've even returned home from a run on several occasions only to have SCC meet me at the door saying, "Mommy, you're back! We are back together."
Sure, it's all a part of the drama with this little girl, but what a sweetheart. I'll hold on to this phase where my daughter wants nothing more than to be together with her family as long as I can.
