That's my boy

SCC certainly has her foot firmly stamped into this family. Listen to one of her tantrum-driven screams and you'll quickly learn that, when it comes to the way things are done around here, she likes to make her wishes known.

Ever since SCC has become a big sister, she has become really good at stating things as they are. Wherever we go, she will point out to anyone who will listen: "That's my baby sister...That's CAC...that's CAC's carseat...and that's my mommy...and that's my Bea (dog)...CAC has blue eyes and I have brown eyes and my mommy has brown eyes too..."

But my favorite is her new way of referring to her brother TLC. She simply says, "That's my boy." She still uses "Wawdy" or sometimes just "Wawd," but this new "my boy" really makes me smile.

This week for Family Night we spent some time looking at slideshows of pictures we've taken over the past few months. It was fun to remember the fun things we've done and see how life really has changed for us in the past 8 weeks since CAC was born. SCC confidently took on the role of narrator for the duration of the slideshow, making sure we knew who was in each picture--her baby, her boy and all.
