little swimmers

Number 1 thing we will miss about summer: swimming.

The kids have LOVED swimming this summer and have done really well. RVC took off first with swimming little stretches with her face in, then floating on her back, and now she's even getting the hang of using her arms in freestyle. She's been so willing to work at it this year even without formal lessons.

TLC and SCC are both using torso "life jackets" and get around the pool great on their own (don't worry, we still stick around). TLC maintains, I think, a healthy balance between confidence and caution--uses his arms and kicks his legs, but doesn't venture out without his floaty; SCC, on the other hand, would be jumping off the diving board without anything if we'd let her.

After CAC was born, and I wasn't getting in to swim myself, I finally got some pictures of our little fish. These are from 2 weeks ago at the Evergreen Swim Club with Papa.
