more Halloween fun

The kids had a great time at Papa's spooooky Halloween party last Tuesday with their cousins. The costumes really only lasted for pictures, but we still had fun making pumpkin pizzas, drinking home-made root beer, playing games, and watching "silly movies" (old episodes of The Little Rascals).

Some costume shots by the Jack-o-lanterns

"Show me your hook!" worked much better than "Cheese!"

SCC--not so sure about this picture moment

I'm a little ghost and I won't scare you...

I made the mistake of leaving my camera at the party, so we were camera-less on the actual Halloween night. We did have a good time, though. Aunt Holly came over with SLO and SRO for some trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. My favorite moment was watching TLC help himself right inside the first house that openned up the door. I'm actually impressed that he didn't sit down and start taking off his shoes! (Some "proper Trick-or-Treat procedure" was reviewed after that first house). Back at the house, we were treated to a visit from Uncle P and Aunt T, who came bearing some exciting news. We all drove over to Gramie and Boba's so the kids (and we) could trick or treat there. Then it was one last stop to Grandma and Grandpa Bushman's so they could see the kids in costume.

It was a fun Halloween. We had only a few trick-or-treaters at our house (quite possibly one or two greedy "treaters"...when we left, we decided to leave the candy bowl out on the front porch. When we returned--surprise, surprise--the bowl was empty).

Jodie-
We are hardly ready for winter here... if you can imagine! Your kids looked great for Halloween, I am sure they made out like bandits!! David loves to see their pictures! When you guys first left he asked several times if the kids could come and play. I think he finally understands not that you guys are REALLY far away!!
