It's HOT!

Indeed, it is. More 3-digit temperatures forecasted throughout the week. I read that the Salvation Army of Tyler is making room for families who have no air conditioning and that they are particularly full at night. Usually, we turn off the air at night, but the past few nights we've set the thermostat at about 80 degrees and even then it kicks on a few times throughout the night (TEC informs me that he moved it down to 75 last night--couldn't sleep).

Yesterday we pulled out the shark pool (a big hit last summer, but because our loving pup loves to chew, I hadn't pulled it out yet this season). The kids had a great time. SCC was a little unsure at first, but soon got right into all the splashing. Of course, she spent most of the time dipping her face in and trying to drink the water.

Keep the updates coming. It's hot in Seattle, too, but that means about 80 degrees, instead of 100+. :) You can't beat this place in the summertime....

Great to have you back online.

Texas is indeed the place of extremes--big heat, big bugs, big rainstorms, and perhaps a big hurricane.
