Happy Pi Day (March 14th, or 3-14)! In my past life, today would be a much bigger deal, but we still do our best in this family to honor π--the irrational number (it has been calculated to more than a trillion digits but is more commonly approximated as 3.14) which, in Euclidean Geometry, is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
So, I wasn't enough of a true mathematician today to hold a moment of silence at 1:59 (I missed both am and pm opportunities...but I'll say it crossed my mind at 2:05 pm); however, we enjoyed homemade pizza for dinner (circles) followed by two kinds of pie for dessert. Our dinner guests (the missionaries from our ward) were ammused, I must say.
