Christmas 2012

In highlight fashion, here is a glimpse of our 2012 Christmas season.

We ran out of trees on our driveway to chop down, but found a great one at Smith's Marketplace and dressed it up nicely.

The kids made lists and other seasonal decor to brighten up our house.

Our school kids did a great job singing with their classmates.

We met Dad downtown for a picnic dinner at his office, then walked across the street to see the lights.

Christmas Eve was once again celebrated at Grammie and Boba's house.  We said a snowy goodnight with hopes that Santa would arrive safely through the storm.

And he did.  The kids lined up in CAC and MEC's room after opening some new books Santa had left by the mini tree down in TLC's room.  Mom tried to take an action shot of them heading to the front room, hence the blur.

I was surprised to receive any gifts, as I was aware of a very large gift set to arrive at the new year.  But, you'll notice in that last photo that a gift did arrive for me under the tree.  I'm enjoying my new toy so far.

And here's where I started playing with my new camera.

We spent Christmas afternoon up at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

A fun picture of Tracey and Christian

These pictures still make my heart melt.  MEC climbed up on Grandpa's lap without any coaxing and settled in for a nice Christmas afternoon nap.

We finished up the year with one last trip up to the cabin.  Fun times with cousins was scattered all over that magical place.

...especially out on the sledding trail.
