Baby MEC

MEC is eleven months old.  It's that bittersweet milestone that's so fun and yet too close to that first birthday when so many things change.  And somehow we got here all to quickly.

So here's a quick note about our little guy and what he's up to currently.

•  Crawling all around the house (belly-style with some scoot/push action from one arm and one foot)
• Crawling too close to the stairs daily and even falling down a few steps a couple of times
• Finding his way under the computer desk to play with the buttons on the printer. Sometimes shoving little objects into the printer
• Making cute sounds: Mah mah mah, Dah dah dah, buh buh buh.  Ruh ruh...My favorites right now are "Dah-DEEE" (Daddy?) and "beee-yah" (or maybe he's saying "brilla"--bilingual already?)
• Clapping anytime he hears "Yay!"
• Eating big people food like a champ.  Sometimes he needs to have a little sample on his high chair tray first, but I'm pleased with how much he is willing to try new things.  Hope it lasts.
• Shoving bananas into his mouth--definitely his favorite food.
• Trying to open the shower curtain while I take a shower.  He thinks that is so funny.
• Climbing on top of his big brother.
• Scratching his very itchy skin (hope that doesn't last).
• Playing with fridge magnets.
• Waiting for his teeth to come in.  One has poked through on bottom and two are bulging on top. 
• Adding many smiles to our days.
