whatever you say

If there was any doubt in our son's ability to follow directions, TEC reminds me to make note of a funny thing from last week.

After watching Roadshows with his family at a church building, TLC decides it's a good idea to run out to the car without letting his parents know.  After all of us worriedly search the building, TEC runs out to check the parking lot.  When he sees a TLC-shaped figure (it is dark) standing on a grassy area at the neighboring school, he yells at him to stay put while he comes back in to get the rest of us.

When we get out to the parking lot, I see TLC frozen in his tracks next to the van.  He doesn't seem to understand why we are all so worried and out of breath, but does share his own side of the story:

"I got out to the car; then, I heard Daddy's voice.  He told me not to move.  So I didn't move.  Well...I didn't move my legs..."
