summer...school

[editor's note: Internet down all week = one late post just got posted even later. Argh.]

We made it through the second week of school. It seemed to go pretty smoothly, but now that it's Friday, and I'm feeling a week's worth of exhaustion settling in, I'm grateful for a long weekend ahead.

TEC and I actually missed the first week of school. We just returned from a 10 day trip to Hawaii...don't you like how matter-of-factly I just said that? It was wonderful, and I can't begin to say how grateful I am for grandparents and siblings and friends that helped everything go smoothly while we were gone. I will post more on our trip soon...

For now, here's a quick sum-up of the un-mentioned happenings from our summer.

RVC played in a community soccer league. It was her first team sport experience and I think she enjoyed it. So far no agents have been knocking at our door, but it was fun.

Much playtime was enjoyed. Dressups were well-used.

Lemonade was sold. It took almost all summer to get the moms in gear for this one, but we finally got the cups and lemonade and set up in front of the Peery's house, quite an excellent spot I might add. RVC and KJP were pretty good sales persons and earned more than a few tips selling to neighbors, Star Wars characters, and other passers by.

Swimming lessons! Only I forgot my camera to capture our little fish in action. Instead, here they are enjoying some splash time in the backyard shark pool.
