...because another one in our house celebrated a "birthday" today. CAC is now eight months. And even more notable is the fact that I am still on time mentioning it.
She is so fun. The biggest development of the past month is her version of crawling--maybe better described as body dragging. It's actually the same crawl TLC and SCC did. We'll see if she develops it into an actual crawl. For now, I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I will have to sweep the floor a lot more often than I do if I don't want a baby covered in dog hair. Alas, there was a time when the dog hair-on-the-kitchen-floor would have bothered me a lot more than it does now. Kind of like how seeing cockroaches scamper around the oven in my first apartment on my mission bothered me a lot more initially than it did after a few months living there...but that's a gross thing to admit and another thing altogether.
CAC is eating solids very well. She keeps a very nice nap schedule as far as I'm concerned. She also makes fun noises, which you'll hear if you choose to watch the video.
TLC is a fun big brother. He likes to do silly dances and make CAC laugh. The other day, I asked him to go play with her and a few minutes later, this is what I found. CAC was quite entertained, I think.
He also does funny things, like make up mazes. He handed me this one some time ago.
"Do you think you can do this maze, mom?" he asked. "You have to watch out for those rocks," he warned, pointing to the little dots. "If you hit them, they send you back to where you started." I love that little boy.
