Thought I was due for an update. We had lots of down time last week with Thursday and Friday being off for UEA. We "picked" our pumpkins with Val and her kids and spent some much needed time outside (poor RVC was getting over some kind of stomach bug and I think it did her good to get out in the sunshine).
On Friday TEC celebrated birthday number 31 (I don't feel bad revealing his age since he is always rubbing it in to me anyways) with...you guessed it...a day at work. But then also a nice evening with family and game playing with two of his brothers.
Saturday was a nice day for a football game. RVC and TLC attended their very first Utah game and did great (I wasn't there so that last part may not be entirely accurate). Meanwhile the youngest two and I did some cleaning and a little resting in an unusually quiet house. Then, the football fans joined us and the beagle for a walk up to Tanner Park to play.
It's always hard to get back into the routine after a long weekend, but we're managing. TLC started a attending (with mom) a preschool program that focuses on speech development. It will be for an hour each week. We had a fun first day--very few kids, but a great teacher and lots of good tools for us to work on.
That's about it that is new. Our parents are off cruising in Hawaii and the Mediterranean through this week, so we've appreciated help from Val and Aunt LouAnn--amazing how much we rely on family.
Up next week: Halloween!!!, which means costumes, our first school parade, pumpkin stew (yum!) and the beginning of way-too-much candy season.
