One week with our sweet new bundle..."Baby Lally," as SCC calls her. It has been a good week. We've been blessed with extra hands (aka grandparents) to help entertain the older kids while I've tried to "take it easy." TEC was hit mid week with a cold and a bit of a fever, but seems to be on the up and up, thank goodness.
So, we are slowly discovering this new life of ours as a family of six. It's amusing at times, frustrating often, and downright exhausting. And the humbling part of it all is knowing that we are still not at the point where we can do it on our own (will we ever be?). It's hard to see the individual needs within our family and wonder how we will manage the day-to-day. I'm grateful for TEC. What would I do without that knowing smile from across the table during a particularly crazy meal, without that someone willing to whirl 3 rambunctious kiddos into PJ's and into bed at night, and back into bed, and back into bed...
Little CAC is well and well loved. A newborn kind of slows you down--in a good way. The simple moments when I'm able to sit and enjoy her (when I can let the slightly more chaotic activity go on around me) and not really accomplish more than that...I'm cherishing those moments more this time around, I think...(did I mention we've been blessed with a few extra hands?)
Hopefully I'll get some pictures up later on.

Sounds about right! :) Good luck and I'm glad you have those extra hands!!!!
Congratulations! I know how you feel--how does anyone have more than four? Maybe it gets easier as they get older...probably not:) I'd love to know her name (and your other kids' names, for that matter). My email is plattkristen@hotmail.com. Hope you are all well.
