May

Some of the things we've been up to this month...

Backyard Projects

Over the course of several evenings and Saturdays, TEC (with lots of help from brother PMC and some help from JBC) put in a new sprinkler system. Our push was to get it done so we could get a new patio poured.

Here's look at the trenches before they were buried.

The day the concrete workers came was a long day of keeping kids and dog inside and out of the way, but we had fun watching the whole
process through the front and bedroom windows.

The crew came back a few days later to power-wash and seal the pad, which brought out more of the color we were expecting. I'm excited to see how it will look once we get the sod in...a project for next month.

Dancing and Tumbling

RVC and TLC enjoyed their community ed classes this spring. Here are some pictures from R's performance and from the last tumbling class.

Playing

While our backyard has been a bit torn up, we've had a lot of days like this...

I'm not a good mom when it comes to playdough...I hate it. Maybe I'd tolerate it better if it was just used to make cute little creatures like this; more often we end up with tiny dried up playdough crumbs ground-in the chairs and carpet fibers and stuck in the cracks of our shoes. As a once-in-a-while activity, I guess it's okay.

and finally...

Memorial Day

Beautiful weekend up at the cabin with TEC's family. All the usual cabin stuff, but we realized it had been a long time since we had been up there in the spring. The weather was dreamy.

On Monday, we had breakfast ("breakfast 2" for some) with my sister's family. We relaxed for a lot of the day, then spent time with TEC's Davis side for the afternoon and evening.
