Welcome December

Today I got to enjoy one of those mornings I remember as a kid...waking up to a winter wonderland. I knew it was supposed to snow today, but I didn't realize that so much of it would fall during the night. TEC pulled out our recently purchased snow shovel (our first!) and cleared the way for our car to pull out and we headed off to our ward Christmas party/breakfast. We had a great time. The kids even had their first view of Santa.

Last night was the Prince Yeates Christmas Party at Market Street. It was very nice. I was excited to have a reason to get dressed up and go somewhere fancy. It was also my first time meeting some of the folk TEC spends the many hours with these days.

So, now that it's December, we'll hopefully be getting more decorations up. With all the snow, TEC was off the hook on putting up the lights today--I know he's disappointed. We did light our "spinner decoration" (that's what RVC calls it, but only because we don't know what it's really called--we bought it the summer we lived in Germany), so with that, we say, "Welcome December!"
