We were very excited to hear from K & S on Monday night and learn that they will be having a girl. RVC was the first to receive the news (Uncle K asked to speak to her), but seemed a bit confused by the whole conversation. I think he must have asked her, "So R, do you want to have another girl cousin?" All I heard was her response: "No, a boy." After the phone call, though, we did a little cousin inventory on both sides of the family, and I think that RVC finally concluded that it's about time we see another girl join us.
TEC, who was out of town for the phone call, later told me that he and RVC were talking about the current girl/boy count in our own family. Apparently, she has determined that we need a baby boy.
"But we already have TLC," Dad told her.
"No, Dad," she replied, "we need 3 girl humans and 3 boy humans." (I guess she was thinking about our dog, Beatrice, being a girl, but not counting because she is not a human.)
Anyhow, we are excited for the K Cundick family. AND for the Olsen family who will (?) be having their baby boy soon.
Girl cousins: 3
Boy cousins: 4

That's cute that she gets the human part clarified. :) So, is she trying to give you a hint that she wants another sibling? I hope Briel doesn't start asking for one yet!!!!
