Instead, we found several "smaller" projects to keep us busy today. TEC was finally able to fix up a bicycle for RVC. We've had three partially usable bicycles kicking around--one given to us, one purchased at at garage
She had a great time riding along the street. TLC rode the tricycle around a bit, but was very sad not to have his own bicycle helmet. We had some errands to run, and so we made a quick trip to Goodwill and TEC found him a little Fisher Price helmet--very cute. He was excited and insisted on wearing it in the car on the way to the rest of our errands.
We bought some flowers and some pots/hanging baskets to spruce up our front porch. I had seen some ideas for container arrangements in a magazine, so I was excited to try them out.
After planting, I did something I haven't done in a long time--I took a nap. I don't think I intended on falling asleep when I sat down on the couch, but once I did it was all over. I guess the late nights working on the house are finally catching up with me. I woke up and found a note from TEC saying he and the kids had gone to ride bikes at a nearby hospital parking lot. They had a great time and were definitely worn out by bedtime.
Our house is officially on the market (since Wednesday). RVC's neighbor friend, Bela, got sad when she saw the sign up in front of our house, and RVC keeps saying that she doesn't want to move until Bela moves. We keep telling her that it won't be for a while still...who knows how long this will all take. We've had a few showings already, but we'll have to see.

You guys are so productive! You make me motivated to do stuff on our "list"! You sound like the picture perfect/storybook family! :)
Your front porch looks inviting and Rachel's bike looks just like new. It was funny to hear of Thomas's desire to wear a helmut. After his early experience, I thought he might detest helmuts of all kinds.
I think I miss-spelled "helmuet". How embarrassing for a former school teacher!
I like your front porch, too! Those pics weren't there last night were they? Do you have sick ones? I saw two from your family at church. Craig was home sick. Hope you're all doing well. We were wanting to invite you guys over one night... maybe Fri, Sat, or Sun. Talk to you later. If you want to play call or email. :)
Don't worry mom--TEC pointed out that I had written "TEC had fun riding around on the tricycle" instead of "TLC"...I think it's fixed now. TEC is a kid at heart, but maybe not small enough for the tricycle.
