Yep, we're all about potty in our house right now. TL has taken the plunge. After a few days of him telling us he needed to "go" and doing pretty well, we decided he was ready. We bought the "big boy shorts" earlier in the week and I've been reading up on potty-training boys (no brothers...I need all the help I can get!)
I made up my mind that I wasn't going to push this with number 2. With R, I think I encouraged the whole potty-training phase a bit too early, and found myself getting discouraged; once she was ready, though, the process was pretty smooth. But with memories of having to drop everything to rush to the toilet, keep up with laundry so there would be underwear for changes, and carry disinfectant wherever I went in the house, I was in no way anxious to start (other than fancying the idea of having only one in diapers...oh for that!). And little SC seems to have a fascination with it all. She seems to think the little chair I've set up in the bathroom is a new toy from her--I spend half the time helping TL and half the time keeping SC from putting the cup insert in her mouth. Everything is "poopy" for TL, terminology I don't love, but we go with it for now. I would love to say things are going well, but I don't want to curse us. So, we're just seeing how it goes. Wish us the best.

We'll hold a thought for you. Good luck! I was just thinking today how nice it is to be on the other side of potty training, at least with #1. We'll be there again soon enough....
