Other than the Utes losing that evening, the rest of the day was just as good. We took Grams and Papa to the Brookshire's Park and Wildlife Museum. We've been lucky enough to have a break from some of the humidity lately, so playing outside wasn't too bad. I'm not a huge fan of the museum, but it was still fun pointing out the animals with the kids.
Sunday was a special day, with baby S's blessing in our ward. She wore the same dress that her sister R and cousin AO had worn when they were blessed as babies--made by Grams. She looked very beautiful and sweet and small. It was neat to have Papa part of that event, along with Dad, and I was grateful for Grams' shorthand skills as I concentrated on holding TL still on my lap.Monday morning (Labor Day), TECs (Sr. and Jr.) woke up early to go golfing. We then met up at the rose gardens for a picnic breakfast and walk. The weather was very pleasant. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it sure has been nice to be able to spend more time outside.
We had to say goodbye to Grams and Papa, who left this morning, but R was excited to be able to go to "school" today. We started a co-op preschool with some friends a couple of weeks ago. It's two days a week, and R loves it. Today was my day to help, so TL got to stay and play--he was excited about that. We talked about the letter A, had a circle scavenger hunt, made some delicious apple crisp (the kids were more interested in the ice cream that went on top), and fed the neighbor's goats. Very fun.
