We're slowly getting back into our world here in the Cundick family. S was brought to her new home on Sunday; she and mom are doing well. We forget how little they come. TL seems huge now by comparison. The past few days have thrown him a little bit out of his element, but he seems to understand that this new baby is sticking around for a while and proudly points to his gut when we ask, "Who's the big brother?" R is enjoying her amplified "big sister" role and seems fascinated when we tell her that tiny little onesie used to fit her and that she once had a silly thing on her belly button too--it's fun to see how her perspective is different this time around from when TL was born.
Grandma and Grandpa Bushman left this morning to drive back to Utah. We were so lucky to have things work out as they did, seeing as that you can't quite predict when a baby will come. Baby S was nice enough to wait until they got here and then give them a few days to enjoy her too. R and TL had the special time with grandparents and Dad was able to balance his time at home/at the hospital knowing that the kids were in good hands. We look forward to when we can share her with the rest of our families, but for now we have a lot to figure out on our own.
